Trigu collection
The project grew out of research on the moving image in the landscape in the countryside of Sardinia.
The research resulted in the creation of the textile installation Giro gira, and a collection of rugs: Zafferano, Trigu, Salvia and Papavero.

Trigu. Bare land, fertile land, the earth like orbaceous, on which the colors that tint landscapes are cultivated. In this image of the countryside, Trigu was born, a brushstroke of yellow ochre on the earth, reminiscent of a field sown with wheat and, in the round version, to the continuous movement of a spinning wheel.
Zafferano is an image of a field of flowers disheveled by the wind. Purple petals fly and fall scattered over the earth. Amid the cloud of blue petals appear the golden sparks of zafferano.
Salvia. A trail of color and freshness woven in pibiones and orbace. A handful of colors between blue-gray and green, it is reminiscent of the image of sage bushes, with leaves turned to one side and the other that, stirred by the wind, release a fresh scent.
Trigu. Terra nuda, terra fertile, la terra come l’orbace, sulla quale si coltivano i colori che tingono i paesaggi. In questa immagine di campagna nasce Trigu, una pennellata di giallo ocra sulla terra, che richiama un campo seminato di grano e, nella versione tonda, al continuo movimento di una ruota che gira.
Zafferano è l’immagine di un campo di fiori spettinato dal vento. I petali violacei volano e cadono sparsi sulla terra. In mezzo alla nuvola di petali blu compaiono le scintille dorate dello zafferano.
Salvia. Una scia di colore e freschezza tessuta a pibiones e orbace. Una manciata di colori fra grigio azzurro e verde, ricorda l’immagine dei cespugli di salvia, dalle foglie girate da una parte e dall’altra che, agitate dal vento, liberano un fresco profumo.
